Stuffed Peppers are already delicious, but we made them even tastier with one of our most versatile spices, Carolina Seasoning Salt. With a blend of salt, paprika, garlic, onion, and black pepper… the seasoning does the work for you. Add this into any recipe and eliminate having to add 4 spices with just 1! This is a low carb and keto friendly recipe that is delicious in the oven or even smoked on the grill. Follow these easy steps for delicious low carb stuffed peppers.
Yields: 3 Servings
500g (1lb) lean ground beef
3 bell peppers
2 tbsp (30ml) olive or avocado oil
3 green onions (chopped)
1 (250ml) cup marinara sauce
½ tbsp (10g) Carolina Seasoning Salt
¼ tsp (2g) freshly ground pepper
½ cup (60g) tex mex (shredded)
Wash and dry the bell peppers. Cut the top and remove the membrane and seeds.
Place the bell peppers in a casserole dish cut side up.
Preheat the oven to 350F
Heat a pan over medium to high heat. Add oil and allow to heat.
Sauté onions with garlic for 3 – 4 minutes until softened and then add ground beef. Cook for 8-10 minutes until beef has browned (cooked throughout with no pink). Remove from heat.
Stir in marinara sauce with ground beef and add in the shredded cheese (leave a little extra to sprinkle on top).
Spoon the mixture into the peppers and add on the extra cheese
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for a further 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
