Low Carb Sloppy Joe’s & Coleslaw
Sloppy Joe’s are a family favourite and a quick weeknight meal for a busy lifestyle. We made this low carb version at home recently and omitted a ton of sugar by using Buster Rhino’s No Sugar Added Ketchup and BBQ Sauce. It was super easy and had tons of flavour! We served it with our staple coleslaw with a creamy yet tangy dressing.
454 g (1lb) ground beef
1) In a large skillet, brown ground beef, celery and onion
Creamy and Tangy Coleslaw
2 cups shredded cabbage
1) Mix all ingredients in a bowl
Full disclosure, we don’t really measure the dressing ingredients (shhhhhh …) so the instructions are just a guide. You can’t go wrong with equal parts mayo and vinegar and then season the way you like - a dash of S&P, some lemon and maybe some garlic powder. Some of us also like chopped green onion … but we were vetoed this time around.
